A surreal AI-generated film that examines the far-reaching consequences of human behavior across borders, technologies, and time. Drawing from a two-year archive of images, video, and audio, the work weaves visual narratives from around the world to expose how resource extraction, forced migration, censorship, and digital overconsumption are deeply interconnected.
Using AI tools such as Runway, Luma AI, Midjourney, and Stable Audio, the collected media is transformed into fluid, painterly transitions that reveal how stories, people, and systems are reshaped, distorted, or erased in the digital age. Each sequence flows into the next, echoing the subtle yet profound ways actions in the Global North reverberate through communities in the Global South.
More than a standalone film, Ripple Effects functions as an ongoing process and a living archive. Upon minting, it becomes a dynamic NFT that continues to evolve over time, incorporating public contributions and responding to shifting landscapes of truth, technology, and resistance. The work invites viewers to reconsider the systems they participate in and to imagine new roles for art and AI in shaping more equitable futures.
